The Green Sanctuary of the Social Action Committee of the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship and SENSE (Students Embracing Nature, Sustainability, and the Environment) are hosting free films and discussions on the environmental issue of high volume horizontal hydraulic fracturing “fracking” for oil and gas.
Josh Fox’s award winning film, Gasland, will be shown on Wednesday, April 16 and the film Gasland II on Thursday, April 17 at the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship,105 N. Parrish Lane, Carbondale, beginning at 7:00 pm, followed by discussions led by SIUC student members of SENSE.
Showings are in advance of Josh Fox’s lecture at the SIUC campus on April 21.
Public is welcome to attend. Free.
