IDNR Postpones Public Hearing in Effingham Due to Inclement Weather

Hearing rescheduled for December 16, 2013

SPRINGFIELD, IL –  The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) has postponed tonight’s scheduled public hearing on High-Volume Hydraulic Fracturing in Effingham due to winter storms expected to affect a large portion of Illinois throughout the day and evening, including Effingham County.  The hearing in Effingham is being rescheduled for Monday, December 16 at the previously scheduled location and time below.

Monday, December 16, 2013 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Doors open at 5:30 p.m.) Holiday Inn Effingham, Hotel Ballroom 1301 Avenue of MidAmerica Effingham, IL 62401

The IDNR is receiving public input on draft administrative rules until January 3, 2014.  Comments can also be submitted through the IDNR website at www.dnr.illinois.gov or in writing.

The public is encouraged to check the IDNR website for any changes to public hearing locations or times.
